Will it hold on a kit bag?
Only on a hard panel or a laminated tag. Nylon and polyester bag fabric will not hold the adhesive.

How do I apply it so it actually stays on?
Clean the surface with an alcohol wipe and let it dry fully. Peel the backing, position the piece, then press firmly for about thirty seconds. Leave it a full day before exposing it to water.

Will it leave a mark if I take it off?
It is designed to stay where it is placed rather than to be moved. Removal can leave adhesive residue, and on painted or coated surfaces it may lift the finish, so place it deliberately the first time.
